Easy Steps to Cook Ugali - Swahili Dish!
Ugali is a Swahili dish that originated from the Lake zone of Tanzania. It is a popular dish in the country after Rice and Beans which is highly consumed by the majority in the country.
So to cook Ugali you will need corn flour or maize flour, water, also you will need a saucepan and a wooden spoon, as well as a stove to cook the ugali.
Let's break it down into five simple steps;
Step 1; Boil water until it bubbles.
Step 2; Add a cup full of flour into the water.
Step 3; Use a wooden spoon to quickly start mixing the flour and water, make sure the mixture doesn't form bubbles make you stiff it well until it turns to porridge.
Step 4; Add a handful of flour and continue to mix the water and flour it will start to come together.
Step 5; Reduce heat to medium and keep turning the ugali as it continues to stick together, stir until it becomes stiff porridge, and after it is stiff and stuck then it's finally ready.!
